Description

HAWKWIND  ELECTRIC TEPEE  Released in 1992 on Castle Communications ESDLP 181, this is a limited edition double vinyl package no 2258 of 5000.  This version of the band had only three being Dave Brock, Alan Davey and Richard Chadwick and the album, lasting 78 minutes was recorded at Earth Studios in Devon.  This is quite a rare issue, which can be found more easily on cd.  The gatefold sleeve has very minor wear at the edges, but apart from that is in great condition.  Both records have 'A Bilbo Porky Prime' cut into the run off, indicating the first run.  Given this is limited to only 5,000, then there may well have been only one run.  The first three sides of the vinyl are near perfect with no marks at all and these play very well.  Side D has about half a dozen surface marks which are only clearly visible when the disc is held to a strong light.  When played, these can hardly be heard because the music is loud.  There is a faint click for each of the marks, no more.  A nice double album.
