HAWKWIND - X IN SEARCH OF SPACE
A GOOD COPY OF THIS RARE UK 1ST PRESSING RELEASED IN 1971 THE MATRIX NUMBERS ARE A1U/B2U THIS COPY HAS THE INNOVATIVE 8 PAGE, 3 FOLD DIE CUT SLEEVE THIS COPY HAS THE ORIGINAL LOG BOOK, WHICH IS PRINTED ON "NEWSPAPER" GRADE PAPER AND CONSEQUENTLY DOES NOT AGE WELL THIS SET ALSO HAS THE ORIGINAL UNITED ARTISTS PLAIN PAPER INNER SLEEVE
THE OUTER SLEEVE IS GRADED AS GD- WITH SOME LIGHT AGE RELATED WEAR TO THE EDGES AND CORNERS; THERE ARE TWO RIPS ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE OF THE FRONT COVER WHICH I HAVE CHOSEN NOT TO TRY AND REPAIR BUT I THINK IT WOULD BE POSSIBLE TO MAKE A PRETTY GOOD REPAIR; APART FROM THESE RIPS IT IS IN PRETTY GOOD SHAPE
THE LOG BOOK IS QUITE FLIMSY DUE TO THE "NEWSPAPER" GRADE PAPER IT IS PRINTED ON, BUT IT IS STILL GRADED AS GD; MOST COPIES HAVE LONG BEEN LOST SO IT IS RARE TO ACTUALLY FIND A COPY WITH THE LOG BOOK AT ALL
THE ORIGINAL PAPER INNER SLEEVE IS GRADED AS VG+; IT HAS THE UNITED ARTISTS LOGO, PATENT NUMBER AND "UNITED ARTISTS RECORDS LONDON ENGLAND" PRINTED ALONG THE BOTTOM FRONT FACE
THE VINYL DISC IS GRADED AS VG+ WITH SOME LIGHT SURFACE MARKS; THIS IS A REALLY GOOD COPY OF THE VINYL RECORD
CatNo: UAG29202
After some bad experiences of shipping to the Russian Federation, I have decided not to sell to bidders from this territory unless they contact me before the end of the auction.
My postage costs are for standard Royal Mail 2nd Class delivery. If you want tracked, signed or insured, please let me know before paying, as I will need to calculate final cost.
Check out my other auctions. I'm selling around 100 classic albums over the next few weeks, including Rolling Stones, The Who, Iron Maiden, Deep Purple, Metallica, Black Sabbath and more...
I visually grade all my records individually
I use Record Collector Grading:
Mint (M) The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. Excellent (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. Very Good (VG) The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable Good (G) Te record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc Fair (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced. Poor (P) The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing Bad (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler
