HAYMARKET SQUARE – MAGIC LANTERN – RARE PRIVATE PRESSING - ORIGINAL 1968 CHAPPARAL MONO LP CRM-201
ORIGINAL U.S. PRESSING
The music of the album was used to accompany the Baron and Bailey Light Circus at the Museum of Contemporary Art and was an integral part of the Circus's audio-visual presentation and performance; the album did not see it's first full, official commercial release for more than 40 years.
ONLY ABOUT 100 COPIES ARE BELIEVED TO HAVE BEEN MADE AND EVEN LESS ACTUALLY HANDED OUT TO THE BARNUM & BAILEY VISITORS.
Condition: I use the Goldmine Record Grading System
Jacket: Jacket has survived in amazing condition with the exception of what appears to be a spot where a price sticker was removed by a previous owner. Please inspect provided pictures very close.
Record: VG-, the vinyl itself has many marks mostly from removal from a rough paper inner sleeve. Most of the scuffs and marks are non feel-able. I have done my best to photograph this. Based on the label wear and overall sound, I do not believe this record has been played very much. Overall play grade's closer to VG, light to moderate surface noise throughout. Overall a very enjoyable listen for this rarity.
The record will be shipped in a very sturdy box with excellent padding and protection. Insurance is required.
