'Head Music' - a double LP containing over 90 minutes of classic krautrock, motorik rhythms, acid jams and kosmische sounds - featuring tracks first recorded by Can, Kraftwerk, Neu!, Amon Duul, Kalacakra, Ash Ra Tempel, Harmonia and many more.

Includes new interpretations by great bands such as Electric Orange, The Bevis Frond, Vibravoid, Electric Moon, Dead Sea Apes and Earthling Society.

ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING?   ...Yes, absolutely...there is only the one pressing...of 850...all copies were sold on advance orders alone, thus OUT OF PRINT upon release...there are 425 with one LP on yellow marbled vinyl (marbled with skerricks of clear vinyl - unlike any coloured vinyl I've seen before, to be honest)...and the other LP on purple/mauve marbledvinyl, (with white and occasional flashes of red in the marble-ing - looks wonderful!)...and the other 425 with one LP on dark 'burnt' orange marbled vinyl, and one on grey marbled vinyl (with white and orange flecks)...comes in superb gatefold cover...with extensive liner notes by Ulrich Klatte, author of the definitive krautrock collectors' tome, "Cosmic Price Guide".

So...what is this?

Only one of thee greatest krautrock labours of love you may ever encounter (forgive me if that line sounds familiar).

I think one look at the the high quality of the tracks covered, followed by a glance at the quality of artists doing the 'covering' (of the ones you know), and you'll get the idea of the MASSIVE WORTH contained herein. 

I've added some youtube links to a few of the tracks here...I strongly suggest you have a listen if you're wavering at all....you shouldn't be, because ANY fan of the true glory of krautrock will KNOW this is an absolutely essential release. That it's so limited, and NOT on CD, is really a travesty...but there'll be 850 people out there with a genuine treasure of the genre.

You probably want to be one of them.

The album is magnificent, by the way. And it is, I repeat, NOT on CD. Only on vinyl.
