Description
This is a fine original U.S. pressing copy of the sole LP by NYC group the Head Shop, released in 1969. The record features mostly original compositions written or co-written by producer Milan "the Leather Boy" Radenkovich, most played by the group in a punky hard psych style with lots of fuzz guitar. There are also a couple of covers: the Beatles' "Revolution" and the pop chestnut "Sunny." The group grew out of Brooklyn-based band the Household Sponge, which released one Doorsy 45 in the summer of 1967. The jacket has a small cutout hole, light corner creasing and wear, light discoloration along the top seam, and a couple of light slashes on the back cover -- EX(+). The disc is clean with a little light scraping, and plays close to M- with a little light surface noise (EX+).
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
