HEADBAND - A Song for Tooley (POLYDOR 2907 008, Australia 1973)

Fantastic record blending all elements of heavy prog, swirly organ, echo flute, heavy psych, eastern psych ("Song for Tooley" has lovely SITAR work interweaving between electric guitar, bass & drums), some backwards guitar, echoey phased effects, even 116 voices of the Ashcraft Primary School Choir and piano. A beautiful album and one of the most amazing covers I've ever seen. A fold-out cover with this huge loudspeaker hovering over a tree like some kind of UFO and a guy lying at foot of tree. Inside cover has lovely color action studio and stage pics of group. If that's not enough there is an awesome 24" x 24" 2-sided poster/book with pictures, group bio info and an eerie looking black + white painting (see pics). This is an amazing album and the track "STAY WITH ME" is incredible with haunting eerie droning echoey sound, wah-wah acid guitar solo, wailing screeching banshee vocals and an eastern psych overtone throughout the song. KILLER SONG!! More good news! The cover is MINT!! POSTER IS MINT!! VINYL IS NEAR MINT!! (A few minor ticks at beginning of side 2 for a few revolutions, then disappears.)
