Description

Childe Harold-Brink Of Death/Mono (Limelight 3084) DJ M-  Imaginative '68 NY haunting lament with phasey vocals & synth effects by electronics whizz Walter Carlos (of Switched-On Bach fame). Reissued on A Heavy Dose Of Lyte Psych CD/Incredible Sound Stories #8 LP. This song has the later Left Banke's member Bert Sommer (who went on to a singer/songwriter semi-successful solo career) involvement who wrote the doomsday lyrics/music and sings the song. 
 Note: The stock pressing of "Brink Of Death" 45 is in MONO, so this promo 45 is the ONLY way to get this unique STEREO MIX since it was never released on an album. Very cool artifact!
