Description

Fendermen-Popeye/Don’t You Just Know It (Sassy 00284) in M- condition with two "x"s on B-side label plus some small residue from a removed sticker. (see label scan). Note: A-side is credited to The Fendermen featuring Dave & Izzy, while the B-side is credited to Phil Humphrey. 
Cool 1964 Minneapolis MN Novelty 3-chord rocker with crazed vocals and rockin’ break by the “Muleskinner Blues” band.  B-side contains Huey 'Piano' Smith's great singalong song that was the A-side of their second single - belted out by Phil Humphrey in this rockin' alternate version that came out 5 years later! 
ADDED BONUS IS THAT THE B-SIDE "DON'T YOU JUST KNOW IT" (2:04) IS A TOTALLY DIFFERENT RECORDING FROM 1964 THAN THE FENDERMEN'S VERSION (2:16) ON SOMA 1142 WHICH CAME OUT IN 1959 b/w "BEACH PARTY." 
You virtually never see this single offered which is quite obscure so don’t miss out!
You can hear "Popeye" on the Youtube link below. And "Don't You Just Know It" is even rockier and more uptempo than the Soma shuffle version rocker ... trust me!
