Description

Thee Muffins: Pop Up! (self released no label) VG with VG cover AUTOGRAPHED "To Betsy" on back cover by vocalist Russ Eden. Respectable copy of fabulous 1967 upstate NY primo local garage release that is far superior to most Justice albums. Snotty vocals with attitude, selection of material, stinging guitars, no horns, etc. Styles range from Stones' rockers (Not Fade Away/Surprise Surprise) to moody cuts like the Summer Sounds/Rising Storm (Don't Let The Sun Catch You Crying). Lots of great cuts and NOT one of those crappy blue-eyed soul discs we garage purists try to like. Don't pass on this extinct gem--only 200 pressed! Goofy cover (gotta love the '60s, ha!) but don't let that scare you away from the tuff garage sounds embedded in the wax!
