HEAVY JELLY "Take Me Down to the Water" TOP! UK Psych lp JACKIE LOMAX-BADFINGER M-
1984/UK/Psycho Records 30….. here’s a clean pressing of this rare UK psych lp. This is a UK reissue of a ultra rare promo-only album issued on Head label in 1969. The cover is in strong VG++ condition with corner wear top left with paper missing from the tip, heavy lower left corner crease, light record impression, a couple of light outer edge creases, stock sticker on back cover, otherwise the cover is clean and solid with no splits or delete! The vinyl is in M- condition. The labels are clean with no spindle marks. A great copy for any collection! Please check my auctions for other rock and psych lp's. Good luck and thanks for looking!
In summer 1970, after further modifications, Heavy Jelly created: Moorshead, Lomax, Steve Thompson - Bruce Rowland bi-Dr. Formation broke at the end of this year, as Lomax went to the U.S. and after signing with Warner Brothers resumed his solo career.
The group was associated with a small company Head and in May 1969, even as a trio of Carlo Little in the composition, earned a single Time Out Chewn In / The Long Wait of thrilling, bluesrockowym instrumental repertoire in the style of Cream. At the end of this year or early next, already with Lomax and Jenkins, as well as several additional musicians, Mike Kellie - dr, the sustenance of Spooky Tooth, Bobby Keys - ts and Jim Price's - tp, tb, The Rolling Stones co-workers, and Pete Ham - voc and Tom Evans - voc, members of Badfinger, recorded an album, originally titled "Heavy Jelly", but the edition of this work was stopped only produced its promotional items. The official release came many years later, in 1984, thanks to the company Psycho, the title was changed to "Take Me Down To The Water". Lomax was the creator of the repertoire, and he imposed the formation of their own concepts.
GRADING
MINT: I consider New Unplayed or Sealed items only.
M- or Mint Minus, very clean with clean visual appearance and sound, there may be a couple of light inaudible hairline scuffs or such and will be mentioned in the listing, a Mint- record looks and plays very clean. Same for the cover. Very clean with no delete or other issues.
EXCELLENT: still very collectable for most, visually and sonicly clean. A handful of light inaudible scuffs, or hairlines. Cover will be clean with little wear, or delete. No splits.
VG++ still a very nice copy with minimal wear, the vinyl will retain it's original gloss and can have some minor scuffs/scratches that don't affect play very much. Cover will have slight shelf wear, and or delete, minor split.
VG+ the vinyl will still retain much original gloss with a bit more scuffs and/or scratches I may list a very rare or desirable item with a lower grade, I will try to list all defects.
