Description

Here on offer a very scarce demo copy of 'Berlin' by Heidi Bruhl, the flipside of 'The Drifter' which was issued on Philips in the UK in 1969. Graded at VG+ the single is somewhat typical of the 'made without centre', lower quality (and often recycled) vinyl that the Philips / Fontana stable started using from late '67 onwards - which can be prone to storage marks, misting and playing less well than equivalent pressings with centres. There is an faint inaudible storage mark on 'The Drifter' whilst 'Berlin' has concentric 'misting' circles that emanate from the label halfway across the vinyl, again which have no effect on the play at all. Excepting a little light surface noise at the intros and (even less) at the fadeouts, the important thing is both sides play splendidly with nice clear sharp sound and no distortion. I'm probably being too pedantic and putting the disc down too much but I like to be as accurate as possible, and if I raved more about the tune myself I wouldn't have a problem with it sitting on my shelves!
The single comes with a nice condition original Philips sleeve and the labels are clean and unmarked.
Nothing else to say really - money back guarantee obviously if unsatisfied, but my feedback was based mostly on vinyl.....
