Description
Hi! You're looking at a SUPERB condition Vinyl Record and a FIRST PRESSING with 5s / 2s stampers on the RCA Red Seal label pressed in 1960 on the bright red "Shaded Dog" labels and a brilliant recording of vignettes for violin and piano simply titled "Heifetz"--the performances of 18 Concert Miniatures are performed by JASCHA HEIFETZ on violin and BROOKS SMITH on piano. The LP is on the RCA Victor Red Seal label with the bright red "Shaded Dog" label, bears the serial number LM-2382, is a mono recording (there is NO true stereo version of this recording) and a 1st PRESSING with 5S / 2S stampers in the runout grooves and was made in the United States in 1960.
This LP is in SUPERB condition and the vinyl is in NEAR MINT- condition and should play beautifully, with a few light paper scuffs that should not significantly affect play and no other significant imperfections (please note that with any violin / piano sonata recording of this vintage there may possibly be a couple of light tics in a couple of places due to the presence of many quiet passages); the cover is in NEAR MINT condition with beautiful surfaces and has a slight 1/2 inch split and crease on the lower right corner, a tiny price sticker on the upper right corner of the front surface and has just slight shelfwear but NO other signifiant imperfections--it's NOT a cutout! The ORIGINAL RCA RECORDS INNER SLEEVE is also included and is in beautiful shape.
Vinyl Grading Standards (unless otherwise indicated, LPs are visually graded)
Mint (or M) – Sealed and effectively perfect with no signs of wear or ever having been played.
Near Mint -- A record with only the slightest evidence of ever having been handled.
Very Good Plus Plus (VG++) A very clean record that has no marks aside from slight scuffs and abrasions caused by removal from a paper inner sleeve or perhaps a few marks on the label caused by a turntable spindle.
Very Good Plus (VG+) A record that has had a number of plays and may have some superficial scuffs, possibly mild to moderate spindle marks and / or possibly hairline scratches on the vinyl, which may produce some intermittent pops and possibly very light background noise.
Very Good (VG) A record that has generally been well cared for, but has seen a fair amount of play, with some scuffing. hairline scratches, spindle marks and / or light scratches. Should play through well, with the possibility of more pops and more background noise.
Very Good Minus (VG-) A record with significant scuffs, scratches, and spindle marks that should play through with moderate pops and surface noise, possibly of some duration.
Good (G) A record with will play through, but with significant pops, substantial background noise, and possibly intermittent skipping.
Poor (P) A record with MAJOR issues that will interfere with play, and will possibly be unplayable in part due to damage (I'll only offer an LP in this condition if it's an extreme rarity and / or for cover art display purposes).
