HEIMO HAITTO-GABRIELL RECORDS 2453, Released in 1955. Here we have a very rare Classical LP from one of the lesser known Violin players. The artist was born in Finland in 1925, Died in Spain in 1999. At age 14 he was already known in Finland and Europe as quite a Violin player. His parents moved to the U.S. in 1939 to further his career, They settled in Los Angeles. Unfortunately The unbuttoned, easygoing Haitto couldn't stay out of trouble. He lived what some called a Bohemian lifestyle. He drank and partied, womanized and lived for the moment. In the early 1950s he settled in Salem Oregon where he was a conductor for the Capitol Symphony Orchestra. It was during this period that this LP was recorded in Portland Oregon for this small label. The Cellist on this LP was Beverly LeBeck (His Wife at the time). The songs are: SIDE ONE- Chaconne (Bach) & Passacaglia (Haendel). SIDE TWO-Largo, I Walked Today Where Jesus Walked, It Took A Miracle, Jesus Rose of Sharon, Nobody Knows The Trouble, I'd Rather Have Jesus, Finnish Folksongs. The cover is VG, Top seam at open end has a 2" split, Bottom seam from the open end has a 1" split. Spine is nice and tight. Light ring wear. Backside is blank and shows some age wear, Tiny blue spot. Record has lot's of gloss and deep shine, Shows some scattered light hairline scratches (Nothing Deep). Both sides play grade at a VG level. Some light surface noise is evident. Very enjoyable LP. Both deep groove labels look great, Nice and glossy. Thank you very much for your consideration.
