A UK 1964 first issue, featuring:

1. original UK 1964 mono red ‘ridged’, Decca record labels,

2. first issue, ‘1A’ record matrix,

3. earliest known ‘mother / stampers’ on side two, of ‘1 B’,

4. each record label has the original ‘inverted’ record matrix printed on it,

5. on the record label, the track title of ‘Hush a bye’ is printed, but on the sleeve this track appears as, ‘Hush a bye, baby’,

6. on the record label, the track title of, ‘20 flight rock’ is printed, but on the sleeve this track appears as, ‘twenty flight rock’,

7. the record label and the sleeve refer to the track ‘I remember’, but written within the sleeves text, this track is referred to as, ‘Ive been thinking’.

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. The spine is in very good++ condition, it has remained clean and straight and all of the text on the spine is clear to read. The two opening edges have remained clean for their age. The rear of the sleeve features the two original top and bottom ‘flip backs’, ie fold over edges. There are NO splits, tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in excellent condition and is the original correct period Decca inner sleeve. The two opening edges have remained clean for their age. There are NO tears, splits, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the inner sleeve.

THE RECORD: each side is in excellent condition. The record is made of the original period, 1960s ‘thick, heavy’ vinyl. It has remained very dark and glossy.

The matrix are: ARL 6249 1A and ARL 6250 – 1A,

The mother / stampers are: ‘1 I’ and ‘1 B’, ‘1 B’ being the very earliest mother / stampers you can have.

THE AUDIO: each side plays excellent, each side plays with some light ‘crackle’. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: each label is in excellent condition. Each label is free from any pen writing / stickers or sticker residue.

TO GRADE THE CONDITION OF THE RECORD I AM USING THE OFFICIAL GRADING SYSTEM FROM THE ‘RECORD COLLECTOR’ MAGAZINE.

BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
