After our acclaimed reissues of the previous three LPs by Richard Pinhas' project Heldon, here is their fourth LP originally issued on Disjuncta / Urus in 1976. Agneta Nilsson is an interesting step in Heldon's development: it gives a twist to their classic sound, which was mainly built around Pinhas' Fripp-esque guitar work and ambiental synth experiments, to began explore a more rhythmic territory. Drums and bass take more presence here, offering a 'rockier' feel, but somehow retaining the mysterious ambience of its predecessors, while adding an extra touch of sinister aggressivity.
Featuring among others Magma's keyboardist Patrick Gauthier, it starts pretty much in the same ambiental, spacey, minimalist electronic mood of the previous Heldon releases, but as the development of the main title 'Perspective' goes ahead the move towards the more guitar + drums sounds of the next to come Heldon sound is evident.
Agneta Nilsson's sound has been describes somewhere as 'a more sinister Tangerine Dream mixed with a more jammy King Crimson.'
Our reissue comes housed in a faithful reproduction of the original sleeve and will include an insert with photos and liner notes. It is made in a strictly limited edition of only 500 copies, get yours before it's too late!
Tras nuestras aclamadas reediciones de los tres primeros LPs del proyecto de Richard Pinhas, Heldon, os ofrecemos su cuarto LP editado originalmente en Disjuncta / Urus en 1976. Agneta Nilsson es un eslabón interesante en la cadena evolutiva de Heldon al ser el disco en el que el sonido del grupo, construído a partir de la guitarra de reminiscencias Robert Fripp de Pinhas, da un giro para adentrarse en territorios más rítmicos. La batería y los bajos toman más presencia, acercándolo a un sonido más 'rock' - aunque manteniendo siempre el ambiente misterioso de los discos anteriores-, a la vez que añadiendo un toque extra de siniestra agresividad.
El disco cuenta con la colaboración, entre otros, del teclista de Magma, Patrick Gauthier. Empieza siguiendo la línea ambiental de electrónica minimalista y espacial de los discos anteriores, pero a medida que se va desarrollando el tema estrella, 'Perspective', el sonido con predominancia de bateria y guitarras que caracterizará los siguientes trabajos de Heldon se va haciendo cada vez más presente.
El sonido de Agneta Nilsson ha sido descrito en foros como 'unos Tangerine Dream más siniestros, mezclados con unos King Crimson con más improvisación'.
