Hello and welcome. Beginning in the 1960s, I made it my goal to collect every 5-star record still available, and I continued my search for 40 years. While not all the records I list for sale reached that lofty goal, they do represent an undying search for the unique and wonderful in the world of sound. I'm happy to be able to offer them to you now. Here is what you're bidding on:  
TITLE & ARTIST: "Merrill at Midnight" - by Helen Merrill on the EmArcy Record label (MG 36107), in beautiful original Mono, issued in 1957. 
CONDITION: JACKET - VG(Jacket has problems, mostly related to a major warp/tear/delam of the bottom right corner; otherwise there's a price sticker and reckless scratching out of titles on back cover (what???/why???) - please see actual album in photos); VINYL - Near Mint(Vinyl is glowing and clean, with a few very light scuff marks - visually graded under special daylight balanced spotlight).  
SPECIAL FEATURES: Beautiful and very rare original MONO copy of this legendary "Merrill at Midnight" album. Here's what the notes say, in part: 
"With Hal Mooney and his orchestra. Harold Mooney, who arranged all the songs on these two February, 1957, sessions, scored for Helen with her need for spontaneity in mind. Except for the pianist, the rhythm section was the same on both dates - drummer Sol Gubin; bassist Milt Hinton; and guitarist Billy Mure. Alternating pianists were Buddy Weed and Maran McPartland. (Marian can be heard on If You Go, If Love Were All, Easy Come Easy Go, The Things We Did Last Summer."

SS (Still Sealed as from the factory); NM (Near Mint - our highest grade; the vinyl has only a very few light marks that do not affect play); VG++ (Very Good Plus Plus - a few more light marks than Near Mint; still a great record that plays near perfectly); VG+ (Very Good Plus - an enjoyable, played and loved, obviously used but still listenable record, usually with some light pops, but free of major audible distraction; jacket may be lightly worn, slightly dinged, even very lightly split, but NEVER trashed); VG (Very Good) and below - we usually do NOT sell these, but if we have some good reason to offer such a record, we will explain completely).
