Description

This is a rare disc containing material from "Paul Whiteman's Musical Varieties" radio program of February 16, 1936.   

Just over 7 minutes on this 12 inch, black lacquer acetate coated aluminum, 78 rpm disc recorded by Advertisers Recording Service, New York.  This disc was recorded for reference purposes only and not available to the general public, very rare!

This disc contains parts 10 and 12 of the radio program

Part 10 features Helen Morgan singing "You Are My Lucky Star" with Paul Whiteman & His Orchestra.  There is a skip at the start of this song, I did not see anything obvious in the grooves, perhaps it would play better on someone else's turntable

Part 10 includes a commercial for Woodbury's Cold Cream, then Paul Whiteman & His Orchestra play an unidentified instrumental (with Excellent Saxophone), then the closing announcement for the radio program

An extremely rare, one-of-a-kind disc, with an excellent performance of by Helen Morgan

Disc is in Excellent- Condition with Excellent- or Sound.  There is some damage to the label on part 10 which is visible in the scans
