Description
Helen Kate Shapiro (born 28 September 1946) is an English pop singer, jazz singer and actress. She is best known for her two 1961 UK chart toppers, "You Don't Know" and "Walkin' Back to Happiness" both recorded when she was just fourteen years old.
On auction here is the South African pressing of her 1964 album, Helen Hits Out!, which highlights her remarkable talent. Instantly recognizable, here voice is one of those voices that transports you back immediately to the heyday of British Pop.
This album is in really great condition all 'round (see photo's). The sleeve has been well looked after and the record itself has a shiny appearance and despite a few insignificant light hairlines, there is no surface noise, popping, sticking or skipping on playing. There is no writing on the sleeve or the record. A pleasure to listen to!
A wonderful memento of a time when life was 'simpler'.

SAPO - South African Post Office. They provide a tracking number but have been known to take up to 4 months to deliver to destination after being posted.
GLOBAL MAIL - They are administered by DHL in partnership with Royal Mail but do not provide a tracking number. They endeavor to deliver within 3 weeks. I have used their services and have had no problems at all. The 'selling point' here is that they are a lot faster than the South African Post Office (although there is no tracking number)
