Description
From the personal collection of Helen Ward, here are a pair of 8" Capitol Records metal acetate 45 rpm test pressings from 1970. These recordings are in Stereo. They contain the 3 titles that she recorded with the Billy May Orchestra for the Time Life series the Swing Era 1936 - 1937. The first disc has the coupling Goodie Goodie (mispelled) and You Turned The Tables On Me. The second disc is one sided with the tune It's Been So Long. These cuts are identical to the LPs which means that they are also over recorded in spots. The discs do sound a little better to me on the high frequency end though. Both discs are in VG++ condition with little wear. Each disc also has a slightly bent edge along the rim (less than 1 inch) but these do not affect play as the starting grooves are recessed 3/4 inch into the oversize discs. There are no jackets for these so they will be shipped in plastic protective covers. Shipping in the USA at $4.00 for Media Mail. Priority or Overseas mail will require a quote according to destination.
