Description

Extremely rare 7" single by highly underated band HELL. Based in Nottingham the line up comprised Dave Halliday- Vocals/Guitar, Kev Bower- Guitar, Tony Speakman-Bass and Tim Bowler-Drums. This,their first and only single was released on the Deadly Weapon label( DWS666-A1 + A2) in 1983 and features the track "Save Us From Those Who Would Save Us" and the instrumental B-side "Death Squad". The A-side was considered good enough to be included on the compilation CD "Britannia Infernus - A History of British Occult and Black Metal" in 2002, along side such luminaries as Black Widow, Venom and Cradle Of Filth. Ex Sabbat guitarist and now Metal Producer Extrordinaire Andy Sneap was taught to play guitar by Dave Halliday and cites Hell as a main influence.

Tragically Dave is no longer with us, having taken his own life when the fame he so richly deserved eluded him. This is 1 of 2 copies given to me by his sister after his death, and is in mint condition.
