Since releasing the follow up to 2008's original swan song LP Head Off; 2022's exceptional comeback album Eyes Of Oblivion has seen Swedish hard rock legends The Hellacopters keep immensely busy between support slots for Iron Maiden and tour dates with Ghost. This is without even mentioning guitarist Nicke Andersson also pulling double shifts with his wife Johanna Sadonis in her retro-psych outfit Lucifer who've just unveiled their fifth album. Capitalising on their welcome resurgence, and artistically catering to themselves, the members have opted to revisit (pun intended) their seminal third LP, 1999's Grande Rock, for a long desired remix/remaster which resets the sonic palette to allow the rhythm section the same level of bombast the original mix only offered to the guitars. Imagined by the band to be their version of the record in an alternate timeline where guitarist Dregen wasn't absent for recording (or for another full decade after), Grande Rock Revisited nails down the final vision of what the members set out to achieve over 20 years ago. It also arrives as part of a double LP with the original version included, so no more pining over OG pressings set at ghastly inflated prices on Discogs!
