JOHNNY SPOTS : Private Ear LP (Heller-Ferguson Inc. CR-9003) 196?

Record is excellent with minimal superficial marks only. Cover is excellent with light inconspicuous spotting to the top seam and the top of the back.

Nice original copy of this early promo-only LP (same content on both sides, one stereo, one mono) by the Heller-Ferguson advertising company of Hollywood, released to showcase their radio-spot talents. The Heller agency also released several 10" promos (Creative Freakout, etc) as well as the better known Singers, Talkers, Players, Swingers and Doers on ABC/Command (see our other listings).

This has ultra-hip private eye Johnny Spots (voiced by Ben Chandler, familiar to Hellers regulars from Creative Freakout) guiding us through his mod world of sexy chicks, martinis, and gloriously bad jokes, interrupted by the agency's radio jingles, many of which (as on the earlier City Songs) are geographical in nature ("This Is Los Angeles", "That's How We Grow In Sacramento", "The Call Of the Northwest", etc).
