JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE

ARE YOU EXPERIENCED

Original UK mono release from 1967 on Track (cat. no. 612001)

Matrix nos. side 1: 612001 A1  side 2: 612001 B1

The first album release by The Experience - still sounds as fresh and vital as it did in 1967 - all the better in mono

The vinyl is without doubt the best condition I've seen since my big sister's copy that she bought when it came out - there's hardly a mark on it. A lot of people would list this as mint condition but I reckon as soon as an album's been played it's no longer new. Normally I would give it a good clean before listing it but in this case I'm very reluctant and would prefer to leave it to the buyer to use whatever method is preferred although it really doesn't need much. The label's are nice and clean with only one visible spindle mark on side two. On both labels there is a small amount of residue of silver ink from the original printing just above the Track logo. I guess these labels were printed not long after the printer was inked - unless they're all like that. The record comes in the standard poly-lined inner sleeve.

Although the record itself is virtually perfect the sleeve is more like vg. It's front laminated but the laminate has a few thumb creases on it and the opening is a little rough but there's no splits round the edges. The spine is not bad but there's some scuffing. The lettering is visible but because of the way the sleeve has been put together most of it is on the right edge of the back. The back of the sleeve is pretty good and has the wording 'Died September 18th 1970' written in blue biro on the top right which I presume was put on at the time of Jimi's death forty years ago.

A great opportunity to get this classic slice of vinyl in near original condition
