For instant sale is an original UK first pressing from 1970 of the 'BAND OF GYPSIES' album by JIMI HENDRIX on the TRACK RECORDS label (2406 002).  The sleeve is the rare 'puppet' version. The sleeve is in overall very good or excellent condition for its age with just a few creases, some edge and corner wear and a bit of general 'grubbiness'.  The spine is in good condition and easily readable.  However, there are also a couple of press cuttings from the time of Hendrix's death stuck onto the sleeve.  With care these should be able to be removed or they could be left on there as a bit of 'period' authenticity.  I have tried to show the condition of the sleeve in the photos so please study them carefully. The labels are in excellent condition but they do have quite a few 'spindle trails' reflecting the fact that the record has been played many times.  The record surfaces have quite a few surface marks from being taken in and out of the inner sleeve but there are no really deep scratches.  Both sides play well with that Hendrix power but, inevitably, there is some surface noise at times ('crackle' and 'pops').  However, both sides play through perfectly well and there is definitely no 'sticking' or 'jumping'. I have priced the item to reflect the condition of the sleeve and the quality of the playback.  The record will be wrapped in bubblewrap before posting to ensure that it does not get damaged on its journey.  I will dispatch the record in a proper record mailer and will post within one working day of purchase by second class 'tracked' post so that it gets on its way to you as soon as possible.   If you are not happy with your purchase then, on return of the item, I promise to give a full no-quibble refund including the original postage cost which means you can buy with absolute confidence.
