Description

You are bidding for the Jimi Hendrix/Band of Gypsies album. I am selling this album as it was an inheritance from my late brother and I no longer wish to keep it.
I have enclosed many photos so that should you wish to bid, more information and confirmation of my description will be found on the photos. I would describe the overall condition of the sleeve as good and shows only slight shelf wear. The front cover looks in good condition considering the age of this album! The spine shows normal shelf wear but all the lettering is legible. The back cover shows a little bit of sticker remnant by the track titles. It is my opinion that it is the paper sticker that is left and maybe a person who knows what they are doing, could remove the residue. The record itself looks in good condition as well. The label spindle hole suggests the album has only been played a few times since it was purchased. The label itself is fully intact and in good condition.  There are no visible scratches on either side of the record which would lead me to state that the vinyl is also in good condition especially considering its age. I have played this record only once and confirm that it plays really well with no pops, blips or jumps. There were no distortions to the sound.
From reading other internet information, this LP is a first pressing. Not only does it have the Puppets sleeve (it was shortly after release, changed to the 'Live' photo) but has the run out groove matrix of;  Side One 2406002 A ? 1 Side Two 2406002 B = 1 The inner dust sleeve has the serial number B.1/0670. This will confirm that it is a first pressing according to documentation available on the internet. The album will be sent in a cardboard mailer specifically designed for LPs. The mailer is strong and sturdy so this Hendrix album should be received in the same condition as when it was posted. I will be using the Royal Mail First Class Signed For service. This will give peace of mind to all parties concerned should there be a problem with the delivery of the album.  I will gladly post this album should the winning bidder live abroad.
