Description

HENRY LOWTHER - CHILD SONG

Little played, fabulous condition 1970 UK 1st press jazz/prog rarity

Year/Label : 1970 UK DERAM Label number : SML 1070 Matrix numbers :  ZAL-9997-P-1W, ZAL-9998.P-1W with "JT" tax code on each side Stampers :  1 U / 1 U
Truly excellent plus (EX+) condition vinyl -  completely flat, weighty and retaining it's original and gorgeous jet black sheen. Virtually unmarked and even with close inspection under a bright light the only identifiable blemishes are just a couple of wispiest of wispy faint hairlines on each side - nothing to impinge upon the wonderful sound quality of this record which has obviously been played only very sparingly. Near mint condition labels : if you look very closely you might just be able to detect a couple of very small and extremely faint spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole on each label - otherwise perfect. Excellent (EX) condition front-side laminated outer sleeve with firm unscuffed edges, including a rigid spine with all spine text remaining perfectly intact. Each corner remains an almost perfectly defined right angle with barely any rubbing at all and all the colours, art work and text remain in near perfect original condition. The only blemishes are a small scuff mark (see photo) where presumably a sticker was once located towards the top edge on the reverse side, and some very minor, non-obvious, vertical laminate lifting adjacent to the spine edge accompanied by a few 1cm very light laminate creases adjacent and perpendicular to the front-side spine edge. Each very trivial. Near mint (NM) stereo audio quality with no skips, jumps, repeats, sticks, clicks, distortion, interference or background crackle. Crystal clear sound quality throughout with each and every track remaining a great listen. Comes with original and correctly dated poly-lined blue and white inner sleeve with no side splits and again in near perfect condition. Note that I always ship the vinyl in a new plain white inner sleeve in order to protect the original.    A brilliant 1970 UK 1st press copy of this prog/jazz rarity - you won't find many in better condition than this!
POSTAGE COSTS :

For the UK £4 using Royal Mail tracked 48;

for continental Europe £11 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked and signed for,

and for the rest of the world £17 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked and signed for.

I do provide posting and packaging discounts for multiple purchases. I make no profit from postage.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.

A bit about myself : I have been collecting UK vinyl for over 54 years from a variety of sources : my own collection, friends and family, car boot and garage sales, door-to-door leaflets, and even through placing an advert in my wife's shop window! My ebay feedback speaks for itself so rest assured that you are buying from a trusted seller and in the very unlikely event that you are unhappy with your purchase just e-mail me and I will sort out the problem. I offer a "no questions asked" refund policy. If you require any further information, including photos, then let me know and I'll do my best to oblige. There is NO RESERVE on this item. Richard
