Offered for sale is an original U.S. release of HENRY THOMAS ~ RAGTIME TEXAS. Album is identified as Herwin 209, issued in 1975, and this double album gatefold set comes with an attached 8 page booklet with lyrics and a great bio by Mack McCormick. These are the complete works in chronological order from 1927-1929. This double album set is in VG++/EXCELLENT condition, the album's cover is also in EXCELLENT shape, and the eight page booklet inside the covers is NEAR MINT. Henry's use of quills that look like a pan pipe set him apart from all the rest. Fantastic collection of 23 historic Vocalion blues recordings including; "Don't Ease Me In", "Fishing Blues", "John Henry", "Cottonfield Blues", "Shanty Blues", "When The Train Comes Along", "Arkansas", "Texas Easy Street", "Lovin' Babe", "Texas Worried Blues", and "Honey, Won't You Allow me One More Chance".
