OLGA records 1966!

Die Hep Stars waren eine der erfolgreichsten Rock-Bands der 1960er Jahre in Schweden. Die Gruppe bestand aus Benny Andersson (Keyboard), der später ein Mitglied von ABBA wurde, Svenne Hedlund (Gesang), Janne Frisk (Gitarre), Christer Pettersson (Schlagzeug) und Lelle Hegland (Bass).

Dies ist die rare 1966er LP der Band auf dem schwedischen Label OLGA (LPO 04, stereo), die 4. LP, die überhaupt auf dem Label veröffentlicht wurde. Schönes laminiertes Cover.

Auf der LP sind ausschließlich englische Titel zu hören (anfangs sang die Band nur auf englisch), und sogar von dem bekannten Volkslied I natt jag drömde, welches auf Single in schwedischer Sprache erschien, ist eine englische Version drauf!

Außerdem zu hören ist auf dieser LP die erste Kooperation von Benny Andersson und dem späteren ABBA-Mitglied Björn Ulvaeus - die Gemeinschaftskomposition Isn't it easy to say und Ulvaleus' Stück No Time.

Im übrigen ist die LP in Stereo, die Mixe unterscheiden sich also auch bei den Titeln, die außerdem auf Single erschienen, da die OLGA-Singles ja mono waren...

LP und Cover sind in hervorragendem Zustand, die Laminierung ist perfekt erhalten, nur leichte Abnutzungsspuren. Ein Name ist klein auf die Rückseite geschrieben (s. Photos). Die schwere LP läuft ohne Nebengeräusche und hat keine Kratzer, bis auf einen Oberflächen-Kratzer auf den ersten drei Titeln, den man sieht, aber beim besten Willen nicht hört. Die Original-Innenhülle ist auch noch mit dabei, allerdings an den Seiten aufgerissen.


The Hep Stars were one of the most successful rock bands from the 1960s in Sweden. The group consisted of Benny Andersson (keyboards), who later went on to form ABBA, Svenne Hedlund (vocals), Janne Frisk (guitar), Christer Pettersson (drums) and Lelle Hegland (bass).

This is their rare 1966 LP ("same") on the swedish label OLGA records (LPO-04), the fourth LP that was ever issued on that label. It has a beautiful laminated sleeve.

On the record, there are only english songs (since the band only sang english lyrics in the beginning) and there's even an english version of the popular folk tune I natt jag drömde, which had been issued as a single in swedish language!

Also, this LP gives the very first cooperation between Benny Andersson and (later ABBA member) Björn Ulvaeus - their composition Isn't it easy to say and Ulvaleus' song No Time.

Furthermore, the LP is in stereo, so the mixes are different on the songs which were released on singles before, since the OLGA singles were in mono...

LP and cover are in remarkable condition, the laminated sleeve is glossy and beautiful and only shows very light wear. There is a small name written on the back (see photos). The heavy LP plays without any crackling and has no scratches apart from a surface mark on the first three tracks which you can see but certainly not hear. The original inner sleeve is included but split at the sides. Side 1:
