Description

This is an original copy of "Herald The Beat," a 1957 compilation of R&B and Doo Wop tunes from the Herald label. 

Vinyl is strong VG, clean with nice gloss and numerous very light scratches/scuffs on each side, most of them superficial and nothing I consider beyond normal handling wear for a record of this age.  Both sides play with light surface noise/hiss that in my opinion comes as much (or more) from the quality of the vinyl used than any wear or scratches.  The music comes through nice and loud.

Jacket suffers from the splitting that seems to be common on this LP, with the entire top seam split and held together with a piece of tape that was applied long ago, the top 8" of the spine and 3" lower right split as well.  Aside from the splits the cover is in pretty decent shape with light ring wear and some prices written in pencil upper right on back.
