An Untouchable Northern Soul & Crossover Crown Jewel: Unplayed New Old Stock

Arranged and produced under the legendary supervision of Herb Sadler and Frank Wilson, Herb & Doris's reading of "Somebody Somewhere Needs You" on the tiny Hollywood imprint Hip Records Ltd. is universally revered on the international Northern Soul and crossover circuits. Packed with driving mid-tempo percussion, layered brass swells, and soaring, emotive call-and-response vocal harmonies, original copies of this 45 rarely surface outside top-tier private collections.

• The Provenance: Preserved unplayed in archival storage straight from original late-60s review distributions.

• The Rarity Factor: Unlike standard commercial soul sides, Hip Records singles were pressed in vanishingly small quantities. Finding an authentic original pressing on this boutique West Coast label—free of club wear, cue burn, or heavy DJ cueing marks—is virtually unheard of.

• Groove Condition: The vinyl surface is stunningly preserved in New Old Stock (NOS) / Near Mint condition. Zero surface drag, pristine run-out vinyl, razor-clean labels, and completely unblemished groove fidelity.

This is a museum-grade specimen destined for a premier soul collection or high-end DJ box.
