HERB GELLER & HAROLD LAND "FIRE IN THE WEST" 1st. mono lp on Jubilee JLP-1044 US issue 1957 VG/VG+. (New dealer: Please check my About Me page).
I would grade this LP VG. I will only auction VG condition LPs that are “classic recordings” or just very old, interesting and hard-to-find LPs. These records will probably have a healthy amount of play and visible scuffs or lines that do affect play. The record still plays through nicely; it’s just an obviously much appreciated recording. THIS IS A VINTAGE COPY (pre-2000). ALL LPS COME TO YOU FRESHLY CLEANED AND PLAY READY. FOR MAXIMUM RESULTS RECLEAN EACH SIDE AFTER INITIAL PLAY (SOME OF MY LPS HAVE NOT BEEN PLAYED FOR 40 YRS. OR MORE). This plays VG+ all the way except for trk. 1 side 2 which has 5 clicks (pops). This is a very nice 1st. press copy. The title is totally apropos has this is a really hot session with a who's who of the 50's west coast jazz scene on the date. 5 star session and a very collectible copy.
THE JACKET; No initials or stickers. Very functional jacket. I would rate the cover VG+ overall with jacket still in the shrink wrap (not a sealed copy). Very nice. (I will only be citing things not visible in pictures).
