Description

HERB JEFFRIES "The SINGING PROPHET" on Olympic Records (mono OLP-1201), with music by Eden Ahbez, RARE LP (private press?) from the mid 1950s. Mysterious and beautiful collaboration between Herb Jeffries and Eden Ahbez. All of Side 1 is the symphonic suite "The Legend of Nature Boy." Eden Ahbez (also known for his "Eden's Island" LP and Nat King Cole's hit Nature Boy) doesn't play on this record but wrote all of side one and a couple sections of side 2. Side 2 "Echos of Eternity" is a collection of Jeffries originals. Herb also performs the spoken word interludes between each track (popsike notes). Vinyl and cover are in vg+ condition, vinyl has a nice luster with some surface marks, we played part(not all) of each side and they played well, cover has no split seams with some minor corner/edge wear.
