Description
Good condition record without its original sleeve. The record was the only one on the Parlophone label, as the group moved to another label after this demo. The band grew out out the Billy Wood Combo in March 1965 and soon after Herbie Goins replaced Ronnie Jones. The band was initially composed of: John McLaughlin, Dave Kirk, Ronnie Jones, Nigel Stanger, Harry Beckett, Mick Eve and Bill Stevens. Herbie Goins replaced Ronnie Jones in March 1965 and Stranger left the band a few months later. Mike Carr replaced Nigel Starnger in late 1965 and in the October this demonstration record was released with the A Side: The Music Played On and the B Side: Yield Not to Temptation.
In 1966 the band re-named as Herbie Goins and The Night Timers. There were many cahnges in the line up, including Speedy Acquaye, Junior Marvin, Ian Hague, Andy Rickwell, Dave Mason and Linda Lewis
