Description
Here's a great LP from HERBIE HANCOCK. A 1971 PRESSING of MY POINT OF VIEWm, which was originally released in 1963. It's one of his great hard bop albums, and features superstars; DONALD BYRD, GRANT GREEN, HANK MOBLEY, and TONY WILLIAMS. Tony and Herbie would go on to work with MILES DAVIS, and all but invent Jazz Fusion. This is classic Herbie, and is wonderful. This pressing sounds great. I get it that a lot of people are into OG pressings, I am too. But, the truth is that mastering technology had improved greatly between 1963-1971, and that is a big plus for this pressing. Another plus is that it's a whole lot less expensive. This is a super clean beauty.
COVER VG++. Has a tiny corner ding bottom left, almost unnoticeable, a tiny touch of ring pressing front top. And a bit of adhesive residue in the black of the piano below his face. Back cover has a little bit of toning, a little smudge on the side 2 credits. The seams and spine are in beautiful shape. A strong and solid cover.
VINYL VG++. Pretty much NEAR MINT, but has a couple spindle marks, and the inner had left it's mark a very little bit on the vinyl. Plays beautifully.Like this LP?
