I HAVE JUST PURCHASED A NICE JAZZ COLLECTION DATING FROM THE 1960s, INCLUDING MANY MONO PRESSINGS, I'LL BE LISTING TITLES FROM THIS COLLECTION OVER THE NEXT WEEK OR TWO - This is an ORIGINAL 1965 MONO BLUE NOTE RECORDS U.S. PRESSING OF THE CLASSIC LP titled 'Maiden Voyage' from keyboard giant Herbie Hancock with stellar combo. It is Blue Note Records U.S. catalog number 4195, deep groove rigid vinyl pressing, thick cardboard cover, with 'VAN GELDER' machine stamp in the runout area. Blue Note Records address is shown as 'New York U.S.A.' on the record labels and '43 West 61st St., New York 23' on the back album cover.
Recorded on March 17, 1965 at Van Gelder Studio, Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey - Producer – Alfred Lion, recorded by Rudy Van Gelder.

Visual condition of record is VG+ with a few surface marks which cannot be felt and do not affect play. Condition of cover is VG+ with '1964?' written on the back cover in blue ballpoint, some contact and ring wear, and some wear along the edges and on the corners. Cover has no water damage, tape, splits, tears, writing, or stickers. This original 1965 mono pressing of a landmark LP would be a choice cornerstone addition to any Blue Note Records or modern jazz record collection!
