Description
Herbie Hancock- Takin' Off, original 1962 Blue Note, MONO, "New York, USA" labels with "VAN GELDER" and "EAR" stampers in the trail out!
Full matrix etching is "BP-LP-4109-A-1... "ear"... VAN GELDER(stamped)".
Stunningly preserved first edition!
Vinyl is a clean and glossy, retaining all of it's original luster, some very light spindle-marks visible on side 1 (only with with close inspection and very close scrutiny), just a touch of very light sleeve-burn visible under light. Extremely clean copy, not a single scratch or hairline! Solid and conservatively graded NM.
Cover is NM as well, vibrant cover image, zero ring-wear on front or back, crisp corners with just a touch of wear, absolutely perfect spine and clean and solid edges. There is one light spot of a moisture stain on the back cover, middle, top and an old price sticker on the front cover (looks easily removed with some patience and care).
Unbelievable condition on this first edition, seminal Blue Note!
