This one is the first original mono and deep-grooved and flat-edged pressing of Herbie Nichols's Herbie Nichols Trio. Heavy Vinyl. Blue Note Records BLP-1519. This is an original 1956 issue from Blue Note Records, not a reissue version of Classic Records or Analog Production. Recorded by Rudy Van Gelder with "RVG" and "EAR" etched on the dead wax of both sides. No "R" and no "INC" on both sides. Address on labels: "BLUE NOTE RECORDS 767 LEXINGTON AVE NYC".

The cover is also the 1st version with blank spine and frame cover. Address on the back cover: "BLUE NOTE RECORDS, 767 Lexington Ave., New York 21".

Artists include: Herbie Nichols (piano), Teddy Kotick and Al McKibbon (bass), Max Roach (drums).

The vinyl plays VG+ on Side 1. On Side 2, it got stuck on Song no.1. Other songs, it plays OK. Thus Side 2 is rated G-. Vinyl looks bright and glossy under the bright light.

The frame cover is rated VG+ due to a yellow tape glue on the front (please see picture no. 1). Otherwise it should have been NM. Strong, no crack or split. The spine is intact.

The record is play graded. I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws.

My grading is as follows: M (perfectly like new), NM, NM-/VG++, VG+, VG, VG-, G, G-. You will be satisfied. And I will accept a free return. Please bid with confidence.
