HERON - TWICE AS NICE & HALF THE PRICE
1971 UK 1st press double LP folk gem - so hard to find in condition as truly impressive as this
Year/Label : 1971 UK DAWN Label number : DNLS 3025 Matrix numbers : DNLS 3025 A-2ΔG, DNLS 3025 B-2ΔG, DNLS 3025 C-2ΔG, DNLS 3025 D-3ΔG Stampers : "F", "I", "F", "A 1" etched into respective run-off'sExcellent plus (EX+) condition vinyls (some would grade as "near mint", I am sure) - completely flat and weighty, and retaining a beautiful jet black lacquered sheen, coming across as unmarked in normal daylight and it is only with close inspection under a bright light that just the very occasional small and extremely faint paper scuff and wispiest of wispy hairlines can be detected - you will need to look hard to spot any blemish and any which do exist are purely superficial and not impinging upon the superb stereo sound quality. The labels are in overall excellent (EX) condition - just a few tiny and very light scuff marks on the side 2 and side 4 labels (see photos) and barely any rogue spindle trails at all. Clearly this is a record that has been played very sparingly, probably only a few times. Very good plus (VG+) condition front-side laminated and top opening outer sleeve...vibrant and crystal clear colours and art work and with all edges remaining firm and completely unscuffed. The spine is rigid and all spine text (on the bottom edge) remains perfectly intact too. Each corner remains a nicely defined right angle though there is just a little mild compression on the bottom left corner. The blemishes (each minor) are the very light and non-obvious intermittent marks of where a strip of sellotape was once neatly stuck onto the right and bottom edges - I can only assume that the previous owner did this for protective purposes since the edges themselves remain in perfect condition. On the reverse side there are some sporadic horizontal light abrasions towards the bottom edge and the sellotape leftover is a little more noticeable at the top 10cm of the right side edge. There is also a mark towards the middle of the top (opening) edge where I think "£1 00" written in biro has attempted to be erased. Take a close look at my photos where I have tried to show these relatively minor blemishes...the sleeve itself remains fully functional and eminently presentable. Comes with original excellent (EX) condition16x25cm postcard with credits on one side and a photo of the band on the other; the only blemish is a 5cm light diagonal crease towards the top right corner, otherwise perfect. Superb, excellent plus (EX+) sound quality with no sticks, skips, repeats, clicks, distortion or background crackle - wonderful tone and crystal clear stereo reproduction throughout with brilliant hard-to-fault sound quality throughout. Each track remains a great listen with some real gems on this vastly underrated LP (the track"John Brown" is simply outstanding). Comes with original poly-lined "U.K. Patent..."text inner sleeves each in very good plus condition with no side splits, just some very minor age discolouration and mild creasing towards some of the corners. Note that I always ship vinyls in new plain white inner sleeves in order to protect the originals. A rare copy of this 1971 UK 1st press folk/psych gem, so hard to come by especially in condition as truly impressive as this.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
