Description
I'LL START with the label first, because it's freaking scarce: HERSCHEL GOLD SEAL. Like the legendary "Black Patti," this was a Gennett subsidiary label from 1927, which had microscopic distribution, in this case, to Harry Bernstein's record stores in Minneapolis and St. Paul. Issued in limited quantities and sold only there, these are highly sought after for the trademark alone.
This record is not without its musical splendors. WILLIE CREAGER AND HIS ORCHESTRA turn in a fine performance of "I'M FOREVER DREAMING OF YOU" with that famous singing trio, THE KELLER SISTERS AND LYNCH, whom you doubtless recall from the Jean Goldkette and his Orchestra Victor record, "Sunday." HARRY POLLOCK'S BLUE DIAMONDS round out the flip side, with "WHEN YOU WALTZ WITH THE ONE YOU LOVE."
This original 1927 Herschel Gold Seal 2007 is in terrific E condition.

I always post at least four clear images, showing the record fore and aft, a close-up of the label, and the whole disc, warts and all. If my purple prose won’t cut it, the pictures will! Shipping is done with expert care. Your record will brave Media Mail in a stout corregated box, between four sheets of cardboard and a couple of “packers.” I hope you are amused by these descriptions, and by the quality of service being offered.
