A terrific Bellson release, MATTERHORN features his "Suite for Drums in Four Movements," on which he exercises about every technique known to man for getting music from a drum kit.

Just be prepared to run for the volume control, as some of this album is “hot” indeed, especially on sections where Bellson utilizes his double bass drums to effect.

Fun to listen to, this copy’s cover is very fine, without fault, though note a corner cut. Within, is the heavier Pablo platter in near-mint shape.
