Here’s a gorgeous copy of the single that broke the Beatles in America! This is the 45 and picture sleeve of “I Want To Hold Your Hand” / “I Saw Her Standing There”. It’s on the Capitol label, number 5112, released on January 13, 1964 (though some sources state the single was rush-released two weeks earlier, so take your pick). This is indeed the very first pressing of the single, which credit the B side publishing to Walter Hofer music. Later pressings list different publishers. The vinyl grades VG++ with nice clean labels. The sleeve is in particularly gorgeous shape with just a hint of wrinkling here and there. It was kept in one of those 45rpm carrying cases, stored without the record inside for most of its life, which kept it in this kind of condition. I’m grading the sleeve Near Mint Minus. The sleeve is the West Coast variety, with the indented tab on top. Lots of these sleeves around, but very few show up in this kind of condtion!
