Description
On offer is a copy of the psych High Tide LP entitled ‘Sea Shanties’ as released in stereo on Liberty LBS 83264 in 1969..
The Tapestry of Delights encyclopedia identifies the strongest tracks on this psych LP as Walking Down Their Outlook and Pushed but not Forgotten ‘which has a beautiful, mellowed vocal intro’. Futilist’s Lament is ‘also melodic’ whereas Missing Out and Nowhere ‘are high energy wall of sound instrumentals’.
The gatefold sleeve of this sought after psychedelic LP is in EX-/VG+ condition (see scan). The sleeve as issued was not laminated and is on white card which is why it is virtually impossible to come across a high quality sleeve for this record. However this example has been kept in a plastic sleeve for over 20 years and it is perfectly presentable. The middle of the gatefold (with the colour illustration of the ship and the lady figurehead) is in EX condition. The labels are nice and clean. The vinyl looks and plays EX-/VG+ with a bit of background noise during the quiet passages (which are not many on this LP!) There are no skips/jumps/ deep scratches. If you are after a MINT copy please don’t bid for this. However this is a decent EX-/VG+ copy of this rare psychedelic LP which was the best copy I ever came across whilst getting my collection together.
