Hilltop Hoods ?– Mic Felon/Working The Mic 12" LATHE CUT (self released) EDITION OF 20 COPIES
PLEASE NOTE: Depending on where this is being sent, you will need to disregard the shipping costs. I am unprepared to send this item without insurance and with some carriers insurance costs additionally for insurance. I will not charge more than the cost of shipping the record, but the basic overseas pricing you see here includes no insurance. Limited to just 20 copies this is, by far, the rarest release from Hilltop Hoods. The album was one of a small number of the 12" hand cut by Peter King in Geraldine, New Zealand. I expect this was made by the band or their representatives for promotion or as a club disc or DJ tool for close friends. I imagine of the 20, not all of them are still around.Condition (please read throroughly):
12" is Somewhere between VG- and G to G-: Lathe cut records are usually lo-fi and this one sounds pretty powerful, but the turntablist it came from clearly was not huge on record care and putting things back in their sleeves EVERYTIME (which given that there are only 20 of these is pretty lame). Side one plays through fine, surface noise is present (it always is on lathe cut records) but the side had no skips when I played it through.
Side 2 has some skips for about 6-10 seconds on the first track and there is a fair amount of surface noise at the end of the side (each side ends with shout outs scratches and cuts…DJ tools), but that plays through.
It's unlikely that another copy of this will ever materialize on eBay and this is pretty hot sounding but I can't present it as clean/flawless. Marks are visually evident and lathe cut disc grooves are shallow.
Cover is a generic white 12" sleeve.

A quick note about international postage rates: In 2013 & again in 2016 the US Postal Service significantly raised the cost of shipping packages (to everywhere outside the US). With my shipping prices I try to do my best to reflect accurate shipping costs & packaging material (I do try to be responsible & recycle when I can). I know that international buyers have seen these greater costs in buying from the states and I want to apologize and simply state that the US Postal Service is struggling to break even in the wake of evaporating traditional mail traffic and that costs those who still mail packages.
