Having previously released plenty as DJOKO and under his given name, Johannes Kolter has a new alias: HK. This self-released EP sees the Cologne-based producer set a signature sound for his new project, a breezy, tactile, warm and nostalgic take on deep house rich in morning-fresh colours and sun-down sonics. Check first gorgeous, string-laden opener 'Uniform', a kind of 21st century update on the classic Italian dream house sound, before admiring the deep sub-bass, minor key electric piano stabs and rolling house breakbeats of 'The Girl of Your Dreams'. Over on side B, 'First Summer' is an ultra-deep, locked-in early morning shuffler, while 'Open Your Eyes' is a summery chunk of lilting jazz-house bliss.
