Here`s a pretty RARE German first pressing of Hölderlin`s much-revered debut album "Hölderlins Traum" on Pilz Records (1972). Please note: This is an original first pressing, not the 1980`s re-issue on Pop Import!
"This absolutely delightful record is an incredibly successful mix of medieval ambiances, stunning 60's folk rock, slight Indian music influences, the whole thing sprinkled with a tad of hippy idealism and great progressive arrangements including the odd Mellotron. From the opening "Waren Wir" to the closing "Traum", the album is an invitation to fly out of our realm and head for Nirvana, paradise, Eden, Babylon, with flaunts of flutes, loads of Hammonds, Trons (sic) of Mello, guitars strings by the dozens and superb vocals both male and female. If you cannot find a suitable album to get comfy and shag the partner, try this one and do not forget to hit repeat (the album is fairly short) - and the trick is half-done." - Sean Trane for progarchives.com
GRADING:
EX++ COVER with very minor overall wear. Please see photos for details.
- Fully laminated gatefold sleeve with slightest record imprint on the rear sleeve only.
- Three small creases along the spine.
Other than the above mentioned, the sleeve is pretty much perfect.
MINT- RECORD with very few visible signs of previous play: A near-perfect record.
- Near-perfect vinyl on both sides, with impeccable audio reproduction.
- A few very lightest hairlines, from removing the record from its sleeve only!
- Original first-press Pilz Records labels with lightest spindle wear on one side, visible only under bright light.
- The matrix stamps in the run-off grooves read "A-0576 A2/C3 A" and "A-0576 B2/C3 A", respectively.
- This record is fully certified to be a very RARE German first pressing, released in 1972. This is not an 1980`s re-issue on Pop Import!
PLEASE NOTE: Not to be compared with the more-often-than-not substandard vinyl on offer on eBay, this item is in honestly-graded MINT(-) condition: You will not find another copy of "Hölderlins Traum" as nice as this one - especially at this bargain price. "True value for money" is the motto here!
