Description

I have up for auction a wonderful and complete Album Set of 7 records (Longer Playing 12" 78s) on the attractive maroon and gold His Masters Voice label made in England. It is #C.7628 through #C.7634 with the HMV red booklet. It is "DIDO AND AENAES" (Tate-Purcell) performed by Philharmonic String Orchestra conducted by Constant Lambert with Harpsichord by Boris Ord and Soloists and Chorus. Soloists include Isobel Baillie, Joan Hammond, Edith Coates, J.Fullerton, D.Noble and others. The record proceed from Beginning: Overture and "Shake the cloud from off your brow" through Conclusion: "With drooping wings, ye Cupids", completed on the 14 sides.  The Set is another from new old stock, looks almost new. The records are in excellent to E+ condition. No wear and scuffs and scratches are very few, light and surface variety. Surfaces still quite shiny and clean. Cover and inside sleeves in great condition as well.
