Description
Beethoven Symphony No.9 in D Minor Op.125
Beethoven "Choral" Symphony with Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, Elisabeth Hongen, Hans Hopf, Otto Edelmann and the Orchestra and Chorus of the 1951 Bayreuth Festival conducted by Wilhelm Furtwangler.
ALP 1286 and 1287
Both records play in an overall Excellent or even EX+ condition except Side B (read description below). The sound is loud and clear, most silences are clean and occasional light click can surely be removed with a professional session.
Detailed description:
-Side A: EX+ One light click in the beginning, one light click in the middle, very light crisp in the end for a couple of seconds.
-Side B: VG+ Overall is Excellent but a very small mark on vinyl produces four clicks in the middle of this side.
-Side C: EX+ Great condition
-Side D: EX+ One click near the end.
Sleeves are in VG+ condition, slightly worn and with some ring wear, corners bended. Spine is intact. Nothing drastic. Please see photos.
Even if not the Red and Gold first edition it's still a good pressing at an affordable price.
