The programme is as follows:
Side One: Purcell - Trio Sonata in F Major (The Golden Sonata) First to Fifth movement
Handel - Trio Sonata In G Minor, Op. 2 No. 8. First to fourth movement.
Side Two: Viotti - Duo In G Major. Book 11, No.3 (Peters Edition) (First to third movement).
Spohr - Duo In G Minor, Op. 67 No.3. First movement.
Spohr - Duo In D Major, Op.67, No.2 - second and third movement.
The vinyl maintains a wonderful shiny appearance and at first glance looks perfect. I did notice a light surface mark on band 1, side 1, which does not affect play. Although the record looks clean, it really could do with a professional cleaning to bring out the best in the grooves.
I have done my best to create a small sound sample file below, which previews the start of both sides and also the ends of both sides, and despite not having a multi figured priced record player, I hope this is of some help. The vinyl is graded EX.
The labels are in superb condition, with no damage or signs of play wear. The gold text and print is clean, sharp and bright.
The cover, often the weakest spot,is complete and solid. Points I noted is on the rear of sleeve at the opening edge in the area to the left of the bottom left of the Menuhin photo. There is a small laminate loss and lift in this area. There is also a circular record impression mark on the front cover from 60+ years of record storage. I'd grade the sleeve as Very Good (plus). Apart from the laminate issue mentioned, there are no rips or tears to the sleeve, just some light handling marks.
The rear sleeve flipbacks (the early half-moon shaped type) are undamaged and complete,and all text fully readable.
The inner sleeve is still very nice, undamaged, white and very acceptable.
