Description
PLEASE NOTE - you are bidding on original 1950s vinyl - this will not have completely silent surfaces, even when in unplayed condition - but the sound and recording quality is generally excellent. If you are looking for absolutely perfect blemish-free reproduction, please bear this in mind.
First pressing of UK HMV Stereo LP ASD 270, first issued 1958 Earliest UK issue Gold and Cream label Richard Strauss Death & Transfiguration, Dance of the Seven Veils (Salome), Dance Suite after Couperin Played by the Philharmonia Orchestra, conducted by Artur Rodzinski
Vinyl Fully play-tested:It is rare these days to find a record where both side play the same so I play grade the vinyl and assess the record track by track which I believe gives the buyer a more accurate overall description of the vinyl. Side 1. play grades a strong Ex. Side 2.generally play grades Ex. with a couple of sections which play grade V/G +.There is a light mark on side 2. but nothing feelable
Labels NM, no spindle trails visible.
Condition of earliest issue "flimsy" fully laminated triple flipback sleeve with Gold and Red "Stereophonic EMI Recording" sticker is V/G+ (one or two "air pockets" but laminate unbroken.Rear of sleeve has some age darkening but still clean.Spine is undamaged but has a few light crease marks with all credits easily readable.
Record comes with Original printed poly-lined paper EMI "Use Emitex" inner sleeve
