HMV ASD 2751, 1st Postage Stamp – DVORAK: CELLO CONCERTO – DU PRE
1971 HMV stereo recording on 1st postage stamp label catalogue number ASD 2751. Jacqueline du Pre (cello) playing Dvorak’s Cello Concerto Op.104 and Silent Woods Op.68, with Daniel Barenboim conducting the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
Disc is clean and shiny with a very faint surface mark on each side. Side 1 has occasional light ticks, nothing intrusive. Side 2 has 5 noticeable ticks plus a few very faint ticks. Sleeve is good with light wear, record impress and discolouration on spine. Rear sleeve has a birthday gift inscription in blue ink (see photo).
